Privacy & cookies

VT Ski Finder provides resort information, weather forecasts, webcams, alerts, and promotional links.

Optional analytics cookies

If you allow cookies in our cookie prompt, we use Google Analytics cookies to measure page visits and link clicks across visits. If you decline, Google Analytics remains in consent-denied mode and may receive limited cookieless measurements such as a page load and its campaign source, without setting analytics or advertising cookies. We do not send the ZIP code you enter, confirmation tokens, or unsubscribe tokens to Google Analytics. You can change your saved choice using Cookie preferences at the bottom of the site.

Google handles analytics data under its privacy policy. Our analytics configuration disables advertising personalization and Google signals.

SkiFinder Alerts

If you join SkiFinder Alerts, we store your email address, optional name, selected resorts, requested alert types, delivery status, and whether you asked to hear about SkiFinder+. We use that information to prepare and deliver the updates you requested and measure interest in future features. Every report includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribed addresses are excluded from future deliveries.

Email delivery

We use a specialized email delivery provider to send SkiFinder Alerts. The provider processes the recipient address and standard delivery information needed to deliver the message, prevent duplicate sends, and handle delivery problems.

Promotional links

The site may include promotional or affiliate links. When the site owner may benefit from a booking or purchase, that relationship is identified near the link. External sites receive normal connection information and apply their own privacy policies.

Webcams and other services

Webcams load from third-party providers, including video platforms. Those providers receive your connection information and may use cookies or other storage under their own policies. Your ZIP code is sent to our distance service, which uses Zippopotam.us for the location and FOSSGIS/OSRM for routes. ZIP-area results may be temporarily cached for up to 24 hours. Our hosting provider processes requests to serve the site.

Preferences stored on your device

We save your cookie choice, selected resort sort, appearance choice, and banner rotation in browser storage. You can clear these values through your browser settings.
